This Whiskeytown Lake Engagement session was the best! Tenaya reached out to us about shooting their engagement pictures in the burnt areas of whiskey town Lake, she gave us a back story of why she wanted that and we we’re totally on board with it!!

Tenaya and Luna are wildfire firefighters and they actually worked on the Carr fire that happened at whiskey town lake in 2018 at the same time. firefighting is such a huge part of their life and they’re so passionate about it.

It was SO much fun hanging out with these two! We started out in a woodsy area and then made our way to a dirt road, where they ran around like little chinchillas and then they opened some smoke bombs which we’ve never done before! Y’all if you ever try this try not to inhale the smoke bombs because its stanky and its super hard to breathe in 😂

We ended the session in the lake even though it was freezing cold! These two were down to put their booties in the water haha. It was the best time getting to know these two and they taught us a couple things about wildfires so we’re basically experts now 😏 Jk. Cant wait to shoot their wedding this summer.
