These two reached out to us about shooting their engagement photos in the red woods of Half Moon Bay. It was our first time doing a session after having our baby boy and we were soo stoked about it! Not only to just get out of the house, but also because it was a place that I’d always wanted to photograph!

We drove up this stunning mountain road on an overcast and foggy day, (it was SO relaxing). I just knew we needed to come back to the road and take some pics there at some point. After arriving to the redwoods we walked around for a bit. Hands down, these were some of the tallest redwoods I’ve ever seen! At one point we saw a huge banana slug! Fun fact, I heard if you lick a banana slug your tongue will go numb, gross.

Anyways, we talked about all the wedding thangs, danced around, laughed, and did all the other usual things we do during shoots. After, we did a quick outfit change and drove over to that foggy mountain road from earlier. Let’s just say we are so glad we did! Also so super glad they trusted us when we said “Lets take some photos in the middle of the road” 😂. We snapped some golden stuff there and it was probably my fav part of this entire shoot.

I would totally recommend visiting Half Moon Bay, there’s so many beautiful places to explore! Especially the beaches, ooo mama 👌🏼
